(a) Comply with the fish health and other veterinary legislation of the State and the European Community in respect of the importation of such animals.
(b) Retain for a period of at least three years following the date of importation, all health certificates or other documents which accompanied the consignment at the time of its importation and make these available for examination to an authorised person during that period, if so requested.
(c) Provide samples of fish/ molluscs or crustacea from a consignment to an authorised person, if so requested.
(d) I also understand that fish moved for ornamental purposes must not be released into the wild.
(e) Ensure these fish imported to facility named above will not be released into natural waters in Ireland.
Exemptions may apply from time to time where a small number of pet fish are being relocated from one EU Member State to another and where these are destined for a completely bio-secure holding facility. Please contact the Marine Institute for details.
