AquaPlan: Fish Health Management in Ireland

Aquaplan imageThe AquaPlan project (funded by the NDP Marine Research Sub-Programme 2007-2013) represented a collaborative approach by industry and government to work together to implement an integrated and planned approach to fish health in Ireland. The aim was to develop a comprehensive national strategy to build and enhance sustainable production of farmed finfish in Ireland.

The plan outlines a range of components to help develop a national approach to emergency contingency planning and response, to aid the overall management of aquatic animal health and acts as a resource to be accessed for relevant information. The plan is outlined in these pages dealing with the following topics:

Farmed Salmonid Health Handbook
Information Leaflets
Contingency Planning
