The Good Practice Guidelines for the Pacific Oyster Industry (2025 Edition) has been updated following consultation with producers on current farming practices, particularly in sites impacted by Vibrio aestuarianus.
This document provides guidance to Pacific Oyster producers in strengthening on-farm biosecurity measures and on potential measures to help minimise stock losses associated with disease.
It aims to assist farmers in avoiding disease introduction, and to minimise the impact of disease outbreaks should they arise.
