The Final Conference of the European VIVALDI project will take place in Brest, France from 26th to 28th November 2019. This conference will be entitled: Managing shellfish diseases now and in the near future? Research outcomes from VIVALDI. It is the final output from this 4-year project in which the Marine Institute's Fish Health Unit was a partner.
Two days of scientific exchanges about the project’s research results will be followed by a third day, which is more particularly dedicated to stakeholders.
This third conference day will take place on 28th November, at Brest Océanopolis aquarium, and will deal with disease management measures and biosecurity.
Presentations will be made on tools and approaches developed to improve the detection of diseases, water treatment, but also the latest genetic developments will be addressed, as well as the impact of the environment on shellfish health. Representatives of European and International institutions’ will be in attendance and will contribute to the discussions about legislation and biosecurity best practices.
An interpretation service will be available to stakeholders in French, English, Italian and Spanish on the 28th.
